A little bit of history

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the world of interiors. The way a room comes together, the placement of each decor piece, the way colour and textures play together – it has always felt like a form of art to me, a beautiful expression of the spaces we inhabit.

My captivation with interiors began at a young age. As I grew, I found myself constantly rearranging furniture, playing with colour schemes, and seeking interesting pieces that added character to my surroundings. Each move to a new home – and there were many, totaling over 11 throughout my life – gave me opportunity for me to unleash my creativity and transform spaces into something soulful and lived-in. 

 It was in these moments of curating and styling my own living spaces that I discovered I had an innate gift to create visually appealing but also deeply personal and reflective environments.

As I developed my skills in styling and decorating, I decided to formalize my passion and completed studies through The Interior Design Institute. Here I delved deeper into the principles of design and gained valuable knowledge about space planning, colour theory and design aesthetics.

But my journey to becoming a stylist is not solely defined by my education in design. I have a background in primary school teaching and counseling. These experiences equip me with invaluable skills in communication, empathy and problem-solving skills, essential skills in my current role as a stylist.

Today as I approach each new styling adventure, I carry with me the lessons learned from my diverse experiences – from my early days of styling childhood and adult homes to my formal education in interior design and my years spent in the classroom.

It is a journey that has been filled with passion, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of creating spaces that inspire and uplift the soul.

As I continue to evolve and grow as a stylist, I remain grateful for the opportuinty to channel my love for interiors into a fulfilling role and rewarding profession, one that allows me to bring beauty and joy into the lives of others through the transformative power of design.
